The Disney Castles

Hello there.

As a Disney Fan, I have a great deal of interest in the Disney Castles. Found at the centre of each of the five Disneylands (California, Florida, Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kongs) the Disney Castle has been a famous and instantly recognisable symbol for the company for many many years.

Currently there are three 'models' of castles....

The first is Sleeping Beaty's Castle, found at the Origanal Disneylands in California, and at the Hong Kong Disneyland park.

Then in Florida's Magic Kingdom park and in the Tokyo Disneyland park, is Cinderella's Castle. The Biggest of all the castles, Cinderella's Castle is perhaps the most realistic of a European Castle.

And last, but definatly not least, is Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant at Disneyland Paris in France. In my opinion, the most beautiful and the most 'fairytale' of all the castles, it is a whimsical take on the traditional Disney Castle.

Now, all of the Castles have similair features. They all feature a 'tallest-tower', symmetrical bases and the recognisable sillouette.

Becuase I have such an interest in the Castles, I was curious to see this picture used by the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Company:

As the observant eye can see, the castle seen in the above picture in an amalgamation of all the Disney Castles. Featureing the 'tallest-tower' and colour scheme of Cinderellas Castle, the lower window and gate-turrets of Sleeping Beauty's Castle and of course the distinctive round-dindowed turret of Le Château.
It makes me happy to see that Disney have combined them to create an almost 'ultimate Castle' that can be used in reference to any of the parks.

But of course, the Castle that perhaps the most people see is the Castle of the Walt Disney Pictures logo.

Mainly a combination of Sleeping Beauty's castle and Cinderella's Castle, the new Walt Disney Picture's Logo is very very pretty. :)

Bye bye.
